About Elf Kittens
Elf Kittens is an independent buying-guide site about self-cleaning litter boxes. We help you compare automatic boxes and pick one with less guesswork.
We write for cat owners who are tired of daily scooping and want to know which box suits their cat, their space and their budget. You don't need to know the jargon, because we explain terms like rake, globe, open-top and weight sensor in plain words.
What we cover
Our guides cover automatic litter boxes from brands like Litter-Robot, PETKIT, Neakasa, Meowant, PetSafe and Fumoi. We also cover the add-ons that go with them, such as crystal litter, trays and mats.
Many guides put two boxes side by side, so you can see the trade-offs before you buy. Others answer one question, like how loud these boxes are or whether they need Wi-Fi.
What we do
We read the product details, specs and maker information for every box we cover. We also look at what owners often say after living with one.
Then we turn it into plain guides, comparisons and clear picks. You can read more on our How we research page.
What we don't do
We don't make or sell litter boxes, and no brand pays us to rank its products.
Elf Kittens isn't affiliated with Litter-Robot, PETKIT, Neakasa, Meowant, PetSafe or any other maker.
We don't give veterinary advice. If your cat has a health problem, talk to your vet.
We don't claim to have tested every box ourselves. When we pick something, we tell you why, based on its specs, its features and what owners report.
How we earn money
Some links on this site go to stores like Amazon. If you buy through them, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you.
That never changes which products we pick. Our affiliate disclosure has the details.
